Lifestyle knitter or knitting designer?
Who is the designer behind Snowelle’s knitting patterns? She is a lifestyle knitter who wants to share success experiences, especially with beginners, ignite a contagious enthusiasm for knitting, and encourage boldly experimenting with one’s own skills.
Knitting design is an important hobby for me and an opportunity to escape everyday life into the world of yarns and stitches. I value handicrafts, their uniqueness, but also sustainability and the maker’s ability to make choices from start to finish in the process. So, the answer to the title question is both. They go hand in hand seamlessly.
In addition to knitting for my own pleasure and well-being, I publish my knitting patterns on Ravelry. I knit in a Scandinavian style, which is also reflected in my patterns. Creating a clear and unambiguous pattern is a demanding but rewarding process in which I want to improve. Hopefully, you will help me with that! Currently, test knitters are mainly from my close circle, but I would gladly provide patterns for experimentation to more people. I hope to receive feedback from knitters of different skill levels.
